Befriend Your Imagination!

So first things first, were moving out of the ghetto! I'm very excited to move farther from work as well as the car thieves. We found a quaint little apartment in a nice nook of Berkeley that feels a little less like Oakland and more like Lodi. I'll keep everyone updated as we go through the process of personalizing the apartment. For me that means art work and photos of friends and family on the wall. For Nick that means more shelf space for Star Wars toys and Video Game consoles.

Anyhow on to business! With all the excitement going on my brain has been feeling a little tired. This leaves my creativity in the dust with little to no energy left for new spanking ideas. I'm not sure how to alleviate this so if anyone has ideas, by all means throw me a bone! So I'm on a mission to befriend my imagination again and get some of those great ideas back. In my attempts to get this campaign rolling I've got a quick little sketch for ya, of me and my imaginary cabinet members. Enjoy!

You say Tomato, I say Sfumato

I get a case of the Mondays every Monday. Today is no different, Monday's are due dates for homework and all that other stuff for class. As usual procrastination catches up and I try to scribble something up that will pass me until next week. Things haven't changed much since my undergraduate studies. I tell myself I work better under pressure and thats why I procrastinate. I may or may not be right. I have yet to try an alternative method in working. Anyways, today's procrastination creation was in SFUMATO! It's meant to look blurry and mysterious like ninja smoke in order to move the viewer to look at a set focus. Look close there's a ninja hidden in this sketch. HIYAH! I just broken your arm.

Operation!

No this isn't a map of tattoos I have across my body (though a skull tattoo on my skull would be pretty bitchin'). This was an assignment I had to do for class. It is hardly my favorite class, but it made for a cute little piece. The quick little art piece is meant to evaluate the things that make up my identity. Each of these objects I am composed of has a different meaning. I won't list them out so you can all make your assumptions about what they each mean. So all of you that just thought I was empty and vacant inside...think again!

Spring into Action!

Spring as arrived and I have a special ability that tells me of its arrival. Its called allergies. My nose is running and I've already sneezed on Mimi several times. However due to a change in my work schedule I will no longer be working Fridays, this has put me into a surprisingly pleasant mood. The sun is a little brighter, the bird chirps are merrier, even the homeless people of the greater Bay Area smell just a little fresher. Yes sir, Spring has sprung and to celebrate such a day lets all think about good things. After all, Spring doesn't only signify boogery noses and itchy eyeballs, Spring also makes me think of outdoor picnics, blooming flowers and of course...amore. And what better way to illustrate Spring Love than with two characters that have had a longer relationship than most American couples. Mario and Princess Peach, this ones a little older, but it applies here.
