New Work

So lately I've been hustlin' and bustlin' with freelance jobs, internships and some regularly scheduled jobs to put kibble on the table for Mimi. For the past few weeks one of the freelance jobs I've been working on has been with this adorable little Bay Area company called Little Seouls (shoutout!) This is one of the cards I helped designed for Little Seouls. Mom would be proud, I drew those persimmons just like the one's she'd fill the house with! FYI I had nothing to do with the design of that child person pictured.

If you guessed that the above image shows a specimen of a vintage Polly Pocket circa 1991 from the purple Polly's Apartment compact playset, than you've guessed right! As of Friday my big sister swooped in like a medical helicopter and saved not only a big ass box full of my Polly Pocket collection but also about 35% of my childhood from the sticky candy covered hands of a 5 year old. Thanks big sis, a tiny itsy bitsy bronze statue of you will be erected in the sleepy town square of Pollyville. Pollyville and I will sleep soundly tonight knowing you've watched over us. 5 Year Old = Zero, Twenty something Shiu Pei = 1.

One last time...

I know enough of these little cherubish kids. Its just so fun to color them in, really brings out the 5 year old in me! Look I even stayed in the lines this time! Happy Wednesday
